3rd of August – Last morning waking up at Hermosa Beach. Packing our bags. Sad times. Last breakfast of the Woo-girls. Thinking back on everything we have done, all the miles we have driven, all the places we have discovered, all the lovely people we have met, all the strangers that have helped us, all the food we have tasted, all the laughs we have shared. What a trip! La diva leaves the first, Folkie goes to the airport with her then spends the arvo with her Nickie discovering LA a bit more – Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, Westwood. shopping & shopping. Cupcakes & frozen yogurt. The rest of the woo-girls stay at Hermosa, nap on the beach,last minute sunburnt, chilling, shopping to bring back crazy food you can find anywhere but in the US of A. 9pm - time to bring our car back. Really feel like the trip is sadly coming to an end. Night at LAX. Talking about a little detox, la rentree and where to go next. Time’s up. Fooling around. Trying to make the trip lasts forever.
4th of August - 7pm that’s it! Goodbye California! The sky is grey, LA does not want us to leave. A mix of sadness, happiness and fatigue. We have seen so much!3:45 pm Boston 2 hours stopover. Rush. 7:45 pm leaving the US for good. ‘Night’ in the plane. Tomorrow morning we will wake up in Rome.
5th of August – 7am landing in Rome. Not a super relaxing night but our bodies needed some rest. girly and geeky movies watched : Bridget Jones, Lord of the Rings, Wall-E. Walking around looking like corpses wearing fun American tagged hoodies in Rome aiport. Last plane ride. 11:30am here we are back in London. All our bags made it. Tube back to Mellow Yellow and Folkie’s. Healthy lunch. Detox is starting. Lipstick, Butterfly and Jungle Gaeta have to cross the Channel and get back to their homes respectively Paris and Lille. Goodbyes but we are all seeing each other soon. 5pm : looking at some of our pictures. Woo what a journey!

It has definitely been a trip of a lifetime. California, Arizona and Nevada have not disappointed us. Thank you. Comme l’a chante Joe Dassin, l’Amerique on l’a voulu et on l’a eu. We will definitely be back. And soon!

It has started
2nd of August - It has started, the mixed feelings, the ‘we did not do this or that’… Woke up at Surf City like 3 weeks ago when we landed. Free time. Some shopping, Mellow Yellow and I went to the end of the piers we saw many dolphins and a seal and tried to save a little fish but it died. Sad times. Lunch in Venice. Drive around the less glitzy parts of famous blvds such as Sunset, Hollywood etc. Interesting. Night out on Sunset at Sky Bar with Nickie, Woogene, Ryan and us 7. Beautiful views and tasty cocktails. 3am breakfast/lunch/dinner in a Dinner - exactly the same as in American Graffiti!!! We like. Back to the hostel around 4:30am. Straight to bed.
Tomorrow will be a good day but a sad day! The woo girls are losing one member flying out earlier than the rest. then we give the car back.
It feels like we left 3 months ago more than 3 weeks ago. Many vids to come keep checking the blogs a few more days! xx

1rst of August - A. IT GOES TOO FAST!! B. We don’t want to leave!!! C. recap of our day : woke up in seedy hostel, left quickly, went to Chupi Mambo hotel to check her out. Brunch in Venice at AXE. trendy hippie organic cafe. A+. saw some C list French celebrities worth not much but also lovely american actresses. Afternoon on Venice Beach, being tourists. Shopping and sunbathing. La boucle est bouclee back to Hermosa Beach and Surf City Hostel. Dinner in an Irish pub then party with surfers and very tall volleyball players next door. Free drinks. Fun times.

31st - Breakfast at the motel for some, lie-in for the others. Photo op’ of Morro Bay strange rock. Back on the road with the LAST DAY OF ROAD TRIP!!! :( Spotted : a coyote ready to jump on cows..! Photo op’ of 9 oil rigs at the horizon on the Pacific - surreal! Two hours stop in Santa Barbaraaaa ( je ne sais pas pourquoi j’ai le mal de vivre….) Then back to LA. The Woo-girls are now 7 with Chuppy Mambo with us till the end of the trip. Seedy hostel near Venice Blvd. The carpet has seen many things!! Night out around Abbot Kinney - the Brig then the Other room. Making many 2 seconds friends. Tatters tots !!!! Felt like Napoleon Dynamite, a dream has come true. Too many tatter tots and alcohol time to go home. Only 6 of us will sleep in the hostel. What happens in Venice stays in Venice…
It’s the last days so we will try to update everyday! Think of us!!! We don’t want to leave!! xx
